The Decision, Risk, and Operations Division at Columbia Business School invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Scientist/Scholar under the supervision of Prof. Carri W. Chan. The Postdoctoral Scholar will work closely with Prof. Chan and her clinical collaborators on problems in the space of healthcare modeling and analytics to develop new models for healthcare delivery.
The position is available for a period of up to two years. Starting date is flexible. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. To receive full consideration, please submit your application no later than March 1, 2022.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in operations research, industrial engineering, economics, statistics, computer science, or a closely related field;
- Strong programming skills in Python, R, or STATA and experience working with large datasets (preferably in healthcare);
- Excellent written communication skills demonstrated by prior publications; and
- A track record that demonstrates the ability to work well with interdisciplinary research teams.
