    Call for Submissions 


    The RM&P Section Practice Award

    The RM&P Section Practice Award recognizes outstanding applications of revenue management and pricing techniques. Initial submissions are due by May 2, 2022.  The final competition for the award will take place live, at the INFORMS Revenue Management Conference June 20-22, 2022 (held virtually, sponsored by University of Chicago).  Finalists will present their work during a special session of the conference, and judging will take place immediately after the presentations. The winner will be announced shortly after. 

    The first-prize winner and finalists will be selected based on their impact, originality, and technical merit. Members of the prize committee are Maxime Cohen (McGill University), Pavithra Harsha (IBM Research), Victor Martínez de Albéniz (IESE), and  Daniela Saban (Stanford University).


    Submission Timetable

    1. May 2, 2022: Initial submissions due.

    The initial submission should be a 3-6 page description of the work.  The submission should summarize the problem, the solution approach, and the results. In particular, the submission should describe how the work is innovative, and should provide evidence of the work's impact on your organization or a client's organization. The submission should include at least one letter of support from the industry partner for use by the committee to assess the practical impact. The submission may also include other materials, such as academic papers, other publications, and press releases. Please submit your entry to maxime.cohen@mcgill.ca.

    1. May 23, 2022: Finalists notified.
    2. June 13, 2022: Finalist presentations due.

    Each finalist will submit an electronic version of the presentation that they will deliver at the RM&P conference. The presentation slides may be accompanied by supporting material, such as notes on each slide or an appendix with more detailed documentation of impact.

    1. June 20-22, 2022: Finalist presentations, judging and award ceremony at the INFORMS Revenue Management Conference (held virtually).


    Eligibility

    Anyone may submit except members of the judging committee. Any work completed within the past 3 years is eligible. Questions about the application procedure should be sent to maxime.cohen@mcgill.ca.
