    INFORMS Analytics Collections, the multimedia publication of INFORMS, is delighted to announce the publication of a new collection on the topic of Environment & Climate.

    The Editors of this collection are: Natalia Summerville (SAS Institute) and Victoria Ellison (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign).

    This collection contains relevant multimedia sources showcasing Data Analytics Applications in the Environment and Climate sphere. Besides numerous journal articles, the collection provides links to academic materials such as classroom games and TED talks and interviews, among others.

    1. Introduction and Overview
    2. Electricity Systems: The electricity system and heat production economic sector generates about 25% of the total amount of global greenhouse gas emissions each year.
    3. Farms and Forests: Agriculture, forestry, and other land use generates about 24% of global greenhouse gases each year.
    4. Buildings, Cities, and Industry: The energy consumed in buildings and the energy used in industrial production, logistics, and building materials generates about 27.4% of global greenhouse gases each year.
    5. Transportation: The transportation industry generates about 14% of global greenhouse gases each year.
    6. Integrative Climate Change Mitigation Strategies: Climate change mitigation strategies that integrate climate prediction models, carbon dioxide removal innovations, corporate strategies, public policy, and the social impact of negative externalities can help ensure that greenhouse gas reducing innovations actually lead to a net reduction in these emissions.
