  • 1.  NSF STEM Inclusion Study

    Posted 05-24-2017 16:34

I am writing to invite you to participate in the NSF STEM Inclusion Study, a first-of-its-kind research project on the experiences of professionals within the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) workforce. The study seeks to expand basic knowledge about the experiences of people across STEM disciplines, industries, and work environments.

As a member of INFORMS, your perspective and experiences can provide valuable insight into the STEM workforce. It will also help INFORMS understand how to best support its members. The researchers are interested in including ALL work experiences in the study, no matter how typical or unusual your work experiences might seem.

On Thursday, May 25, you will receive an email invitation and a link to the survey from the Principal Investigator, Dr. Erin Cech. The survey will take approximately 15 minutes. It is completely confidential and voluntary; you may skip any question or withdraw from the survey at any time.  You will have 8 weeks to take the survey before the survey link expires. This study is funded by the National Science Foundation. Participants who get to the end of the survey will have the option to enter a raffle for $100 towards a year's regular membership in INFORMS.

I strongly encourage you to participate in this important STEM Inclusion survey. If you would like more information on this study, please contact the PI (Erin Cech) of the University of Michigan at steminclusionstudy@umich.edu

We look forward to your participation.
