Dear colleagues,
The mining and petrochemicals cluster is delighted to invite you to organize a session at the
2021 INFORMS Annual Meeting (Oct 24-27, Anaheim, CA). The topic is up to you, but it has to be somehow related to oil/gas/mining. In particular, the mining and petrochemicals cluster at the
INFORMS Section on Energy, Natural Resources, and the Environment (ENRE) is organized to:
- promote the development and application of operations research/management science/machine learning methods, techniques, and tools to the solution of problems relating to mining and petrochemicals,
- encourage the exchange of information among practitioners and users in mining and petrochemicals applications areas, and
- promote the maintenance of high professional standards in the application of operations research/management science/machine learning to problem areas in mining and petrochemicals.
If you want to organize a session please let me know and send me a tentative title as soon as possible, so I can add you to the INFORMS system (Oasis) as a session chair. Keep in mind that the maximum number of speakers per session is 4. If you just want to contribute a talk, please let me know the general topic, so I can connect you with an appropriate session chair.
The upcoming deadlines are:
- March 18: Deadline for session chairs to submit session proposal (title & abstract)
- May 1: Deadline for session chairs to invite speakers
- May 15: Deadline for presenters to submit abstract
