The Department of Economics and Management is home for the Luxembourg Centre for Logistics and Supply Chain Management (LCL) (https://lcl.uni.lu). The LCL, which is a member of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Supply Chain And Logistics Excellence (SCALE) network (https://scale.mit.edu), is a hub for logistics and supply chain research and education making an impact both in practice and in the academic community.
The LCL has currently three open positions.
- Research Scientist in Logistics and Supply Chain Management
The selected candidate will be an experienced scholar working on the application of operation research and data science methodologies applied in the context of logistics and supply chain management. Working closely with researchers and practitioners, the candidate will enable integration of theory and practice. - Postdoctoral researcher in operations research for sustainable supply chain management
This 2-year position, fully funded by a leading global partner, seeks to develop methodologies and a prototype tool that decision makers can use to make fact-based trade-offs between profitability and sustainability for complex value chains in uncertain business environments. - Doctoral researcher in Behavioral Sciences
The PhD position is part of the new doctoral training unit (DTU) on 'Experiments, Ethics and Economics' (3E), funded by the PRIDE scheme of the Luxembourg National Research Fund (FNR). The position hosted by The Luxembourg Institute of Socio-Economic Research (LISER) and the University of Luxembourg, focuses on "Reducing waste in supply chains: behavioural considerations".
