On behalf of the 2021 INFORMS Simulation Society Workshop organizing committee, we would like to welcome applicants for virtual Simulation Summer School (S3). This will be a one-day event on June 20th, prior to the main I-SIM workshop on June 21st-23rd. The entire workshop will be delivered in an online format including the S3.
The S3 will comprise of set of tutorial sessions covering "Perspectives on simulation optimization, with bonus features" (Shane Henderson), "Mathematics of simulation" (Chang-Han Rhee), "Emerging topics in simulation" (Henry Lam), and "Gaussian process metamodeling for simulation" (Eunhye Song). The goal of the S3 is to provide an introduction to a breadth of fundamental topics in simulation theory and methodology targeted for PhD students and young researchers.
