Position Description:
The Department of Industrial Engineering and Operations at the Instituto Tecnológico Auto ́nomo de Me ́xico invites applicants for <g class="gr_ gr_26 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_disable_anim_appear Grammar only-ins replaceWithoutSep" id="26" data-gr-id="26">tenure</g>–track faculty positions to perform research and to teach courses offered by the Department in the undergraduate programs of Industrial Engineering and Management Engineering, and/or in the master graduate programs. The department is interested in candidates whose research/work contributes <g class="gr_ gr_27 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_disable_anim_appear Grammar multiReplace" id="27" data-gr-id="27">in</g> manufacturing engineering, material science, supply chain engineering, optimization, big data analytics, statistics, quality, and/or energy systems.
All university faculties are expected to engage in teaching and research. Further opportunities for involvement in Consultancy and R&D projects are available and are highly desirable.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have an earned (or close to completion) doctorate in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research or a closely related engineering discipline. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the following areas:
• Quality, Statistics, and Reliability
• Operations Research and Management Science,• Big Data Analytics,
• Simulation,
• Supply Chain Engineering,
• Robotic/Automation,
• Engineering Design, and
• Energy Systems.
Communication skills in Spanish are recommended but not required. Courses can be taught in English.
