Dear Colleagues:
Towards INFORMS goal of organizing more sponsored sessions, the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) special interest group of TSL invites you to propose and organize sessions for Annual Meeting 2022. Sessions in the general theme of transportation modeling with a strong focus on methodologies, emerging technologies and data, and innovative solutions are invited. Topics of interest for the ITS SIG include (but are not limited to):
- Transportation network modeling (dynamic traffic assignment, network design, )
- Traffic flow theory (conventional and connected/autonomous vehicles, advanced traffic signals, )
- Routing algorithms (dynamic, stochastic, online, robust, etc.)
- The impact of uncertainty and information on transportation systems
- Modeling user behavior under uncertainty and/or real-time information
- Real-time and distributed optimization in transportation engineering
- Traffic operations and control with emerging technologies (computer vision, advanced sensors, connected/automated vehicles, )
- Transportation infrastructure management
- Methods for optimization/evaluation of shared mobility systems (ridesharing, carsharing, bikesharing)
- Modeling and optimization of public transit systems (first/last mile access, network design, user behavior, )
- Smart cities and the Internet of Things (smart travel behavior, smart performance, smart sensing and computing, smart parking, EV charging infrastructure, travel information, smart city planning, )
- Congestion management with pricing and incentive mechanisms
- Autonomous vehicles: service design, management, and control
- Methods for analyzing emerging transportation data from new sensing technologies (connected vehicles, social media, transit smartcards, )
Please let us know if you want to serve as a session chair by April 08, but you will have until May 1st to confirm the speakers for your session, until May 15th to have all the abstracts initially submitted.
