    The Operations and Supply Chain Management Department (OSM) at the Monte Ahuja College of Business, Cleveland State University, invites applications to fill two tenure-track positions starting Fall of 2020.

    The first position at the Assistant Professor level is for recruiting a faculty with high-quality research and teaching to support our university's strategic initiative in Data Analytics:

    Responsibilities:    The successful candidate is expected to conduct quality research in the relevant domain and teach a variety of Operations and Supply Chain Management courses at the bachelor's, master's and doctoral levels. Such topics include, but are not limited to, data analysis, blockchain, machine learning, predictive analytics, optimization, and supply chain analytics. This position is supported by the university-wide initiative to cultivate the data analytics curriculum. Therefore, the successful candidate is expected to contribute to the growth of data analytics offerings.

    Qualifications:      
    Minimum Qualifications: Earned doctorate in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research or related field (ABD candidates considered, but hired as instructors and the doctoral degree must be completed by June 30, 2021); evidence of high-quality research potential; research interests in the disciplines of data science, such as machine learning, high-dimensional data analysis, network analytics and broad data analytics, both theoretically and computationally; ability to teach both undergraduate and graduate business analytics, operations, and supply chain management courses; good oral and written communication skills.

    Preferred Qualifications: Active research record, including recent publications; documented excellence in teaching; prior industry experience as a data scientist; the ability to contribute through teaching and/or service to the diversity, cultural sensitivity, and excellence of the academic community.

     

    The second position at the Assistant professor level is for recruiting a faculty with high-quality research and teaching interest in the general Operations and Supply Chain Management domain. A focused interest in supply and logistics management is a plus.

    Responsibilities:      Maintain an active and high-quality research agenda. Teach courses in Operations and Supply Chain Management courses at the bachelor's, master's and doctoral levels, and work with doctoral students. Participate in departmental, college, and university service.

    Qualifications:       
    Minimum Qualifications: Earned doctorate in Operations, Supply Chain Management or related field (ABD candidates considered, but hired as instructors and the doctoral degree must be completed by June 30, 2021); evidence of high-quality research and teaching potential; ability to teach both undergraduate and graduate operations and supply chain management courses; good oral and written communication skills.

    Preferred Qualifications: Experience/interest in supply management or logistics management, active research record, including recent publications; documented excellence in teaching; prior relevant industry experience. The ability to contribute through teaching and/or service to the diversity, cultural sensitivity, and excellence of the academic community.

    The OSM Department, with eight full-time faculty members, is committed to excellence in research and teaching. Our faculty members are active and dedicated researchers whose contributions are recognized nationally and internationally. We offer coursework at the bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels.

    The Monte Ahuja College of Business has 70 full-time faculty members, with a current enrollment of over 3,000 students. Its programs are accredited at both the graduate and undergraduate levels by the AACSB. Degrees offered by the College include the DBA, MBA, MLRHR, Master of Accountancy, Bachelor and Master of Computer Information Science, BBA, and a joint MBA-JD.

    Cleveland State University enrolls almost 17,000 students, in nine colleges and more than 200 academic programs.
