virtual speaker lineup includes a plenary presentation from Sheldon Jacobson, founder professor of computer science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, "Operations Research and Public Policy: Making a Difference," which discusses the role of operations research in shaping public policy. In addition, Nancy Potok, former Deputy Director and COO, U.S. Census Bureau, presents "The Future of Federal Statistics and the Role of the Chief Statistician," where she shares the changes made and efficiencies added to the collection and availability of federal statistical data and what additional changes could look like in the future.
