    The Military and Security Society of INFORMS is seeking nominations for Session Chairs and speakers on OR/MS/Analytics topics related to military and national security for its cluster of sessions at the 2022 Annual Meeting taking place 16-19 Oct 2022 in Indianapolis, Indiana.  


    The goals of the Military and Security Society (MAS) are to:

    1. Promote the development and application of ORMS/Analytics methods, techniques, and tools to the solution of problems in the military and security areas.
    2. Encourage the exchange of information among practitioners and users in the military and security areas.
    3. Encourage more interest by practitioners and students in the military and security areas.
    4. Promote the maintenance of high professional standards in the application of ORMS/Analytics methods to the military and security areas.

    If you are interested in organizing a MAS Cluster session or presenting your MAS-related / MAS-applicable work at the Annual Meeting, please contact Shaun Doheney by March 14th at     Shaun.Doheney@outlook.com with a suggested title and a brief description.  For those interested in organizing a session, a session must have a minimum of four speakers, preferably with a related theme among the talks.  Proposals will be reviewed on a rolling basis.  Proposals are also welcome for sessions jointly sponsored with other INFORMS work groups.

    All Session Chairs will be asked to identify speakers and have speaker information entered by May 2, 2022, with initial drafts of the abstracts for each talk due by May 16th.  Please note that editing of abstracts will be able to continue within the portal until August 1st.


    We are looking forward to hearing about all of the great contributions our members and the INFORMS community are making that are directly supporting, or applicable to, the military and national security OR / analytics communities.  We are extremely appreciative of everyone who answers the call to volunteer to help ensure the success of the MAS Cluster sessions during this great event.  Thank you in advance for considering this request to serve the military and national security community!  We look forward to hearing from you and about your great work!
