Successful candidates will be internationally recognized researchers who lead independent research programs at the cutting edge of their field. They will have a strong desire and a demonstrated ability to attract external funding, facilitate corporate relationships, and provide leadership within the school, Georgia Tech, and the professional community. Candidates are also expected to demonstrate an exceptional commitment to the teaching and mentoring of a diverse student body. Along with undergraduate and graduate teaching, each position requires a balance of research and service responsibilities. Expectations of holding an endowed appointment include providing an annual stewardship report coordinated by the school's Development Office and building and maintaining a relationship with the donor(s) as appropriate.
