The Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) is one of the six autonomous universities in Singapore. The university was established in 2009, in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), to advance knowledge and nurture technically grounded leaders and innovators to serve societal needs, with a focus on Design, through an integrated multi-disciplinary curriculum and multi-disciplinary research.
The Engineering Systems and Design (ESD) is one of the four academic pillars at SUTD that focuses on the study of large-scale complex systems such as the transportation system. We are looking for a research fellow to join a project on a vehicle routing problem (VRP). The researcher is required to develop and implement an algorithm to solve a variant of the VRP and perform comparison studies on the results.
A candidate must have a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or other Operations Research related fields. Strong programming skill is required and experience with vehicle routing problem solution techniques (heuristics and/or exact methods) is an added advantage.
Interested candidate please send your application to Dr. Xingyin Wang at xingyin_wang@sutd.edu.sg. More details can be found at https://careers.sutd.edu.sg/re/en/job/494593/research-fellow-i.
Thank you.
