Title: Postdoc position in ML and OR at the University of Montreal/Polytechnique/HEC.
We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher to work on the topic of machine learning for decision making (operations research). The exact focus of the project will be chosen with the candidate.
The candidate should have a background in both machine learning and operations research. Fluency in---or at least a willingness to learn about---integer programming, deep learning, and reinforcement learning would be ideal.
The position is under the supervision of Laurent Charlin and Andrea Lodi. The candidate will be a member of the Montreal institute for learning algorithms (MILA) and the Canada Excellence Research Chair in Data Science for Real-Time Decision-Making.
The position is a one-year position, likely renewable for two years or more. The candidate could start as soon as January 2017 (there is flexibility).
