    The Department of Industrial Engineering, Master of Science in Operations Management program, at the University of Arkansas invites applications for a <g class="gr_ gr_47 gr-alert gr_spell gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling multiReplace" id="47" data-gr-id="47">non tenure-track</g>, Clinical Assistant Professor position with an anticipated start date of January 2017. The position will include all aspects of teaching and service to the department, university, and profession, and may include research responsibilities.


    Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Operations Management or other closely related field with at least one engineering degree. Successful applicants will have excellent communication skills. A minimum of three years consulting or industry experience is required along with a minimum of three years experience in online course development and higher education instruction using platforms such as Blackboard, Canvas, or similar Learning Management Systems. In addition, applicants should demonstrate <g class="gr_ gr_53 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_run_anim Grammar only-ins doubleReplace replaceWithoutSep" id="53" data-gr-id="53">potential</g> for high quality online teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses, and whose graduate teaching experience aligns with the department’s emphasis <g class="gr_ gr_42 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_run_anim Grammar multiReplace" id="42" data-gr-id="42">in</g> logistics and distribution, healthcare systems, reliability <g class="gr_ gr_214 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_run_anim Punctuation only-ins replaceWithoutSep" id="214" data-gr-id="214">engineering</g> and analytics. Experience in quantitative methods and advanced analytics (descriptive and predictive) is required. Preference will be given to applicants with an <g class="gr_ gr_259 gr-alert gr_spell gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace" id="259" data-gr-id="259">ABET accredited</g> or equivalent engineering degree and those who present evidence of scholarly presentations and publications in operations management or related fields.


    The College of Engineering consists of eight departments that offer BS degrees in nine disciplines, MS degrees in ten disciplines, and a <g class="gr_ gr_40 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_run_anim Punctuation multiReplace" id="40" data-gr-id="40">PhD</g> degree in Engineering with several concentrations. The undergraduate enrollment in the college currently stands at over 3,300 and the graduate enrollment stands at almost 900. The college has 114 tenured/tenure-track full-time faculty associated with it and generally has externally
    funded annual research expenditures of approximately $20M. The college is a partner in a newly created NSF Engineering Research Center and multiple NSF I/UCRCs.
