    Qualifications:

    • Doctoral degree from an accredited institution.
    • Applicants should have awareness of and sensitivity to educational goals of a multicultural population as might have been gained in cross-cultural study, training, teaching and other comparable experience.
    • Possess experience, expertise and demonstrated excellence in teaching and research in data mining, business analytics, or operations research.
    • For those with teaching experience, demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence.
    • Demonstrate an ability to work in a collegial atmosphere as part of a team.
    • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Exhibit a commitment to interact effectively with the Silicon Valley business

    Responsibilities:

    The appointee will teach undergraduate and graduate courses from foundation through advanced in the Decision Sciences field. The appointee will share in student advising, curriculum development, and service responsibilities. Effectiveness in academic assignments, including service to students and University, and a record of research and/or professional achievement which are defined in the University Retention/Tenure/Promotion guidelines is required to achieve tenure and promotion. Candidate must address the needs of a student population of great diversity – in age, cultural background, ethnicity, primary language and academic preparation – through course materials, teaching strategies and advisement.

    Salary Range: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.

    Starting Date: August 21, 2017
