    Dear Health Care Researchers:

We want to share that Health Systems has added literature reviews to the types of articles we will accept.  This may be particularly appealing for PhD students, as a number of PhD’s complete their dissertation during this time of year.

We accept original research, case study, position, review and response manuscripts.

Following is the list of areas Health Systems covers for your reference:

    • Clinical Systems and Informatics
    • Consumer Health Informatics and Mobile Health
    • Decision Support Systems, Data Mining & Data Analytics
    • Health Disparities & Modelling
    • Health IT Economics
    • Health IT Quality and Evaluation
    • Health Quality and Evaluation
    • Health Services Research
    • Healthcare Design Science
    • Human-Computer Interaction
    • Knowledge Management
    • Mathematical Modelling
    • Operations Management
    • Performance Measurement, and Decision and Risk Analysis
    • Public Health Informatics
    • Simulation and Logistics
    • System Dynamics
    • Technical Architecture of Health IT
    • Telehealth

You may also want to note that Health Systems has been accepted into the Thomson Reuters “Emerging Sources Citation Index”. This index in Thomson Reuters’ collection, which recognizes new contributions to fields and (crucially) allows new titles to be discoverable through their Web of Science, even as they’re being assessed for the SCI or SSCI (which is in process). PubMed, Medline, and ABI Inform indexing will shortly follow. The journal is included in a world class portfolio of Operations Research Society journals and was recognized on the ABS 2015 guide (world elite business related journals –  https://www.timeshighereducation.com/news/abs-ranking-reveals-world-elite-of-business-journals/2018722.article), receiving a ranking of “2” out of 4, which is quite notable for journal of its age.

Thirty-three journals have been given the coveted “world elite” ranking in an influential and hotly debated league table.

I will be at INFORMS in November 2016 and can answer questions regarding the journal.
