Dear fellow JFIG members,
We are looking forward to seeing many of you in November at the annual JFIG social luncheon to be held in 2014 INFORMS conference in San Francisco, California. The JFIG luncheon will be at the Hilton Hotel on Sunday, November 9, 2014, 12:30-2:00 pm. Because of the popularity of our JFIG paper competition and the rising cost of funding our luncheon, we would like to enlist your help.
We were wondering if you could contact your department chair and see if s/he would be interested in sponsorship of JFIG this year to cover part of the lunch and paper competition costs. Typical sponsorship is about $1000, but of course, any amount would be welcome.
In addition to supporting junior faculty in the field of OR/MS, the benefits of sponsorship offer significant visibility benefits, including acknowledgements at the luncheon, and logo recognition on the JFIG website, printed programs and community e-mails. In addition, during the luncheon, our group would set up a table to host sponsor materials to be determined upon the request of our sponsors. This offers a great opportunity for our sponsors to be recognized during the forum attended by well-respected scholars and professionals as well as up-and-coming young scholars, and also an opportunity to reach out Ph.D. candidates in the field of OR/MS.
