MIT's SOCIAL & ENGINEERING SYSTEMS DOCTORAL PROGRAM
MIT recently launched the Institute for Data, Systems, and Society (IDSS). As a part of this new effort, MIT has created a doctoral program in Social and Engineering Systems (SES); we will enroll our first students in September 2016.

We are looking for applicants who share our drive to solve concrete and societally significant problems by applying analytical expertise in statistics and data science, information and decision theory, as well as human and institutional behavior. Graduates of the program will advance the state of knowledge in theory or in practice, and will take their skills with them to transformative careers in their chosen field.
