    The Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Florida invites applications for full-time tenure-track or tenured faculty positions beginning May or August 2016.  Outstanding applicants at assistant, associate and professor levels will be considered.  We welcome applications from individuals with strong backgrounds that hold a doctorate in any ISE-relevant discipline, including industrial engineering, operations research, or a closely related field.  It is desirable that the applicant would have at least one BS degree in engineering with IE preferred.

    Faculty members are expected to contribute to research and educational programs at all levels, including directing an interdisciplinary research program, supervising graduate students, and teaching courses.  Research areas of particular emphasis for this position include interdisciplinary work in Healthcare Systems, Advanced Manufacturing, Big Data/Analytics, Renewable Energy and Storage, and Cybersecurity.  In addition, among the positions, one is a full-time tenure-track assistant professor position (specific position number: 495090) at REEF (Research & Engineering Education Facility http://www.reef.ufl.edu) beginning May or August 2016.  For this position, faculty members are expected to collaborate with the Air Force Research Lab and the greater Eglin Air Force Base (EAFB) community to respond to Air Force research needs. In addition, the faculty is expected to supervise graduate students and teach graduate level and distance learning courses at REEF. Research areas of particular emphasis for this position include interdisciplinary work in Network Security, Big Data/Analytics, Sustainability, among others.     The Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering at the University of Florida is currently under the transformation of powering the new engineer.
