    CALL FOR PAPERS ~ 50th Annual Meeting of Southeastern Chapter of INFORMS ~ October 8–9, 2015

    Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

    Papers and proposals, symposiums, tutorials, and workshops are invited across any/all business topics related to management science techniques and applications, and on innovative methods of teaching management science. Submissions by practitioners on management science applications are especially welcome.

    AWARD OPPORTUNITY: As in previous years, SEINFORMS will continue offering an award for “Best Paper for the Conference”. If a deserving best paper is identified, the authors will receive a cash award and (with the permission of the authors) be fast-tracked for consideration for publication in the International Journal of Electronic Marketing and Retailing, the Palmetto Business Review, the Virginia Economic Journal, The Journal of Service Sciences, or the Coastal Business Journal as deemed appropriate. To qualify for the award the paper must be presented at the SEINFORMS Conference and included in the conference Proceedings. See the SEINFORMS website for further details.

    The submission process opens on March 16, 2015 and closes on 31 August, 2015

    1. Each electronic submission must include the title of the submission, the type of submission (paper, symposium, workshop, tutorial), and the name of one or more tracks appropriate for the submission. Files should be submitted in PDF format.
    2. Paper proposals should be a minimum of four (4) pages long and describe the complete paper.
    3. An author is limited to submitting a maximum of three (3) papers, either single or multiple-authored.
    4. Authors and affiliations including complete addresses, phone numbers, and e-mail addresses are collected during the submission process and thus should NOT be included in the submitted document.
    5. In the case of multiple authors, all correspondence will be sent to the first author, unless otherwise requested.

    Participant Obligation: The submission of a paper or paper proposal for this meeting means that the author(s) agree to participate in the meeting by serving as session chairs and discussants if needed. Only those authors who register to attend the meeting in advance of the publication date will have their papers published in the Proceedings.

    Student Paper Competitions: Full-time Masters-level and Ph.D. students are encouraged to submit papers to the Graduate Student Paper Competition. Undergraduate Students working with faculty sponsors are encouraged to submit papers to the Faculty Sponsored Undergraduate Research Track and are eligible for their own set of rewards and recognition. Completed papers (i.e. no paper proposals) may be submitted through the SEINFORMS web page at www.seinforms.org. Submission deadline for student papers is 31 August, 2015.

    Symposiums, Tutorials, and Workshops: Proposals for special sessions should include a description of the session, names and affiliations of all participants, and the proposed benefit of the session to members. It is the responsibility of the session leader to assure that the scheduled participants attend the meeting. A one-page summary of each special session will appear in the Proceedings. Special session proposals should be at least two pages long outlining the details of the symposium, tutorial, or workshop. General Instructions apply to special session submissions.
