Dear INFORMS members,
The WINFORMS board is pleased to announce the finalist ranking for the 2015 WINFORMS Student Excellence Award. On April 21st, each finalist presented his work to a WINFORMS audience for evaluation. The judges assessed each of these presentations based on technical merit, originality, impact of research, and clarity of the presentation.
Please join us in congratulating the winners:
1- 1st place: Mohammad Jalali
2- 2nd place: Saba Neyshabouri
3- 3rd Place: Bin Han
The 1st prize is a $1000 travel voucher to attend annual INFORMS conference in November 2015 in Philadelphia. The 2nd and 3rd prizes will be $300 and $200 checks respectively.
All our candidate entries were of excellent quality and we are fortunate to have such emerging talent in the field!
We would like to also thank all the judges who helped us evaluate the papers and the presentations.
We are looking forward to the 2016 WINFORMS Student Excellence Award!
