The H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering of the Georgia Institute of Technology invites applications for the position of Academic Professional – Director of Student Services. The ISyE Director of Student Services will have an academic appointment in the School of Industrial and Systems Engineering and will teach one to two ISyE courses per academic semester.
The ISyE Director of Student Services will:
- Manage the daily operations and supervise five employees of the H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering’s Academic office,
- Assist the academic Associate Chairs with key office functions including
- implementation of the ISyE teaching schedule and teaching resource allocations,
- advisement of graduate and undergraduate students,
- accreditation processes and student outcome assessment for ISyE programs as well as development of the BS/MS programs,
- budget preparations and budget management for the Academic Office,
- technology and process improvement in the office,
- liaison with other campus entities including dean’s and provost’s offices, Career Services, Financial Aid, and Distance Learning,
- conflict resolution between students and ISyE instructors,
- awards and scholarship processes for ISyE undergraduate students
- connections for corporate recruiters,
- recruiting and orientation activities for prospective and admitted undergraduate and graduate students, and
- hiring of part-time lecturers.
Qualifications
PhD degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field and have supervisory experience. ABET expertise, industry/business/government experience, and/or Professional Licensure are a plus. Candidates meeting the minimum requirements are encouraged to submit via email to
