The INFORMS Revenue Management and Pricing Section Dissertation Prize is awarded for the best doctoral dissertation in the field of pricing and revenue management written in English. The following criteria will be used in judging candidate dissertations:
- Fundamental contribution and originality of the ideas or methods.
- Practical importance or applicability in solving important real problems.
- Clarity and excellence of the exposition.
Eligible doctoral dissertations are those for which the dissertation defense took place between June 1, 2016, and May 31, 2018, inclusive.
The nomination package should include the following:
- Dissertation
- A nomination letter by the advisor summarizing the main contributions. The letter should also state the date of the defense.
- Optional: Supporting letters from industry or academic scholars (not affiliated with the same university as the nominee).
To be considered, a dissertation must be nominated by the dissertation supervisor(s) by August 11, 2018. Please submit the nomination package and questions to nazerzad@usc.edu
