    Dear Colleagues,

We are glad to announce that 2024 Early-career Sustainable Operations Workshop will be held at University of Nebraska-Lincoln, College of Business during the last weekend of February 2024 (2/23–2/25). The workshop aims to provide research presentation and networking opportunities for early-career scholars who work in sustainable operations management.

Program will follow the in-person workshop format in previous years. There will be a reception on Friday (2/23) night, followed by a full day of presentations on Saturday (2/24), and a half day of presentations on Sunday (2/25). Like previous years, there will be a registration fee of 100 USD per person.

This year's program committee includes Erkut Sonmez and Jennifer Ryan from University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Priyank Arora from University of South Carolina. We are also grateful for guidance from the steering committee, which includes Tim Kraft (NC State), Beril Toktay (Georgia Tech), and Safak Yucel (Georgetown).

We are inviting junior academics (untenured faculty) and PhD students who are interested in presenting to submit either:

    ·         a working paper (with a 32-page limit) to be considered for a full presentation, or

    ·         a one-page abstract on an exploratory topic to be considered for a flash talk.

The latter category is ideal for individuals who are looking for early feedback or potential collaborators for foraying into a new topic.

Please send your materials to 2024SustainableOM@gmail.com by December 7, 2023, noting the name of the presenter. Notice of acceptance will be sent by January 12, 2024. In addition, all full presentations will be eligible for "People's Choice Award" and the winner(s) will be decided by crowd voting at the end of the workshop.

You may access to the workshop website via the link https://business.unl.edu/sustainableOM for helpful travel accommodations information. Workshop registration link will also be available on the website soon.

The workshop is generously supported by the Dean's Office at the College of Business, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and the Ray C. Anderson Center for Sustainable Business at the Georgia Tech Scheller College of Business.

For any questions and further information, please contact Erkut Sonmez at esonmez2@unl.edu

Thank you, and we look forward to seeing you in Lincoln, Nebraska!

    Regards,

    Erkut, Jennifer, and Priyank
