My fellow veterans and veteran supporters,
At every Certified Analytics Professional (CAP)-related event, I've noticed that a larger-than-expected portion of participants tend to be veterans. I have some guesses for the reasons for this trend: we love our quals, we love being able to show how skills developed in the military directly relate to the civilian world, and we love abbreviations. I became a CAP in 2017 as I was preparing to transition out and have been promoting the program since.
If you are going to the Annual Meeting and thinking about becoming a CAP, want to hire CAPs, are already a CAP, or simply wondering what a CAP is, we will have a program overview at 10:45 am Monday. Join members of the Analytics Certification Board, instructors of the CAP Prep Course, and INFORMS staff to learn about the current state of the program and the big improvements coming soon.
