Odysseus 2024

First announcement for ODYSSEUS conference 2024

We are happy to announce that the ninth international workshop on freight transportation and logistics, ODYSSEUS 2024, will be held in Carmona (Spain) on May 20-24, 2024.

ODYSSEUS workshops are among the leading scientific meetings for the development of the Logistics and Freight Transportation field. ODYSSEUS 2024 will be the 9th edition in the series of ODYSSEUS meetings after Crete 2000, Sicily 2003, Altea 2006, Çeşme 2009, Mykonos 2012, Ajaccio 2015, Cagliari 2018 and Tangier 2021 (postponed to 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic).

This international triennial workshop brings together researchers and practitioners of freight transportation and logistics to discuss recent experiences, exchange ideas, disseminate research results, and present advanced applications and technologies. It is a high quality forum that exhibits the recent developments in the freight transportation and logistics field, as well as its trends and advances in the theory, practice and application of mathematical models, methodologies and decision support systems.

The town of Carmona lies only 35 kilometers from Seville, in the southwest of Spain. Its origins go back to the Neolithic period, with rich prehistoric sites having been found in the surrounding area. Nowadays, the town still follows, with only very minor variations, the typical Roman urban layout, counts with 30000 inhabitants, and can easily be reached from Sevilla airport (https://turismo.carmona.org/en/).
