Announcing the TIMES Best Dissertation Awards Sponsored by the Lazaridis Institute

TIMES is excited to announce a new three-year partnership with the Lazaridis Institute, who will become the primary sponsor of the Best Dissertation Award. The award will thus be renamed as “TIMES Best Dissertation Awards sponsored by Lazaridis Institute.” As a result, TIMES will be able to double the total cash prize pool available to the finalists of the competition, including a new top prize of $800 for the winner of the competition. The competition is open to all graduate students who have defended their dissertations within the past two years. All research topics that fit within the section’s main domains (technology, innovation management and entrepreneurship) are eligible.

This year’s deadline has already passed (March 1st), and the process of determining the finalists are currently in progress. The details about the finalists will be announced in the 2017 TIMES Newsletter of Fall 2017. Finalists will present their work at the “Emerging Scholars in Technology Management” session at the 2017 INFORMS Conference on Monday October 23, 2017 at 11am - 12:30 pm. The winner and the runner-up will be announced at the TIMES Business Meeting at the 2017 INFORMS Conference on Monday October 23, 2017 at 6:15 pm.
