Warren Powell is a professor in the Department of Operations Research and Financial Engineering at Princeton University where he has taught since 1981. His interests focus on optimization under uncertainty, broadly defined, drawing on applications in energy, transportation, health, business analytics and the sciences. He has written books on Approximate Dynamic Programming and Optimal Learning, and is working on a new book that creates a unified framework spanning all the major subfields of stochastic optimization. He is an Informs Fellow, has won the Daniel Wagner prize and was twice an Edelman finalist. For more please visit
