Hello! I am a master's student at Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario, in the sustainable energy engineering and policy program. My background is in mechanical engineering which I obtained from the University of Waterloo. My research and career interests are in sustainable development and climate change solutions. My current research focuses on energy access for rural arctic communities and looking into renewable energy options that can address their power needs. As part of my research, I have been implementing machine learning algorithms to help remotely assess hydrokinetic power potential in rivers.
Outside of work, I really enjoy anything outdoors, especially hiking, mountain biking, and cross country skiing. I also enjoy playing guitar and some piano.
