Zhongju Zhang is Co-director of the Actionable Analytics Lab and Associate Professor of Information Systems at the W. P. Carey School of Business, Arizona State University. Prior to that, Zhang was on the faculty of the School of Business at the University of Connecticut, and was the founding director of the MS degree program in business analytics and project management. Zhang has extensive knowledge with experiential and executive education. He has consulted extensively for General Electric on various data-centric analytics projects, and has experience developing data analytics initiatives in the Leadership Development Program for Travelers.
Zhang's research focuses on how information technology and data analytics impact consumer behavior and decision making, create business value, and transform business models. His work has appeared in academic journals including Information Systems Research, MIS Quarterly, Production and Operations Management, INFORMS Journal on Computing, Journal of Management Information Systems, Decision Support Systems, European Journal of Operational Research, Decision Sciences. Zhang has won numerous research and teaching awards, including the Best IS Publications of the Year Award, Research Excellence Award, MBA Teacher of the Year Award, Ackerman Scholar Award.
