Help Shape an INFORMS Grand Challenges Effort
Where can operations research, analytics, and the decision sciences make a distinctive contribution to the world's most pressing problems?
On Thursday, October 8, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. ET, leaders and members from across INFORMS communities will come together online to explore whether INFORMS should pursue a broader Grand Challenges effort connected to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The conversation builds on the MSOM Grand Challenges work and will be facilitated by Wedad Elmaghraby.
The session uses Natter, a video platform that pairs participants for a series of short one-on-one conversations around guided questions. It runs in your browser with nothing to download. Conversations are transcribed and analyzed with AI to produce synthesized findings.
This is exploratory. We're not presenting a finished program. We're asking the community to help shape what comes next.
