    Dear colleagues,

I am writing to see if you might be interested in attending and/or giving a presentation at the Southeast Symposium on Contemporary Engineering Topics (SSCET) this year. The 11th SSCET will be held on Friday, September 16th in Little Rock, AR in conjunction with the 1st Arkansas Engineering Forum (AEF) hosted by the University of Arkansas. The presentation should be 25 minutes in duration with another 5 minutes for questions (there is no requirement for a paper). There are openings in the following Tracks (a breakdown of topics by track is shown in the attachment):

Electrical and Computer Engineering and HPC
    Civil, Environmental and Coastal Engineering
    Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering
    Chemical and Petroleum Engineering
    Industrial Engineering
Systems Engineering (peer reviewed paper option)
    Biomedical Engineering
    Power Systems
    Power and Energy
    Cybersecurity
    Big Data and AI
Human Computer Interaction and Immersive Technologies
    Ethics and Engineering Education

There is also a student track if you have any students that may want to give a presentation.

There will be a poster competition this year for students in addition to the normal student track presentations.

The Systems Engineering track will have a peer reviewed paper option this year if you would like to present a paper.

Please let me know if you need the flyer for this track with additional information.

The SSCET will be held at the University of Arkansas campus in Little Rock. We have negotiated a rate with a hotel near the downtown riverfront area. The reception dinner will be at a restaurant near the hotel the night before the event (Thursday night, September 15) at no cost to the presenters. There is no conference registration fee for the presenters.

The COVID situation will be evaluated on June 1, 2022 with a final decision to proceed or not with the in-person event. There will be some limited ability for you to give a presentation remotely if for some later unforeseen reason you cannot give the presentation in person.

Please let me know if you would be interested in giving a presentation.

Please feel free to pass this invitation to your colleagues that may be interested.

    Thank you

    Best regards,
