Due to multiple requests, we are extending the deadline for submissions to the special issue on the Impact of AI on Service Design and Delivery to December 1, 2024.
This special issue of Service Science aims to explore the transformative impact of AI technologies-both predictive and generative-on various service sectors including healthcare, retail, finance, education, transportation, hospitality, government services, entertainment, and beyond. We invite papers that explore how AI is reshaping service design, enhancing customer experiences, and optimizing operational processes.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- AI-driven innovations in service design and delivery
- Ethical considerations in AI-augmented services
- AI's impact on service roles and skill requirements
- Personalization, accessibility, and inclusivity improvements through AI
- Customer trust and perceptions of AI in services
- Novel applications of generative AI in service sectors
We welcome submissions using analytical, empirical, experimental, or qualitative methods that offer significant contributions to theory and/or practice.
