Hello - here are four clips from INFORMS members in the news this week:
Farzam Boroomand had an op-ed published today on the outlet Governing which we worked on and placed. It has surprising findings on diversity and inclusion in communities and public schools. The op-ed was inspired by this Organization Science paper.
Sunderesh Heragu's piece "What Strategy Should We Pursue to Manage the Demand for Data Centers in the U.S.?" was published on RFID Journal. He offers a road map to building more data centers and examines barriers, costs and demand.
Sheldon Jacobson wrote the opinion piece "Video gamers alone can't keep our skies safe" for the Hill. He writes about the structural issues of the FAA and its push to hire video game enthusiasts to manage flights in the air. He also ponders if AI could be an asset.
Julie Swann was interviewed about cyclospora yet again, this time by JAMA Medical News, in "What the Cyclospora Outbreak Reveals About the State of US Foodborne Disease Surveillance."
