The INFORMS Journal on Data Science invites submissions to its virtual special issue on AI and Data Science for Smart Manufacturing.
The special issue welcomes theoretical, computational, empirical, and experimental research on topics including AI-enabled materials discovery and manufacturing design, learning from complex manufacturing data, predictive and prescriptive analytics, and reliable and adaptive AI in industrial environments. Contributions should emphasize substantive data science advances rather than routine applications of existing methods.
Submission deadline: June 1, 2027
Target first-round decision date: September 1, 2027
Review: Manuscripts will be reviewed as they are received.
