    Join us for a special session of Discrete Optimization Talks (DOTs) *tomorrow*, Friday, December 4 at 2:00 p.m. ET with three current job market candidates! For security, the link for the seminar will only be sent out through our mailing list, so please subscribe to participate.

    1. Alfredo Torrico (Polytechnique Montréal): The Greedy Algorithm: An Effective and Flexible Tool in Submodular Optimization
    2. Cheng Guo (University of Toronto): Copositive Duality for Discrete Markets and Games
    3. David Bernal (Carnegie Mellon University): Modern Computational Approaches to Nonlinear Discrete Optimization and their Application to Process Systems Engineering

    Seminar series information:
    DOTs are virtual discrete optimization talks, organized by Aleksandr M. Kazachkov and Elias B. Khalil, covering research that includes theoretical, computational, and applied aspects of integer and combinatorial optimization. Seminars occur about once a month, and we are lining up a slate of speakers for next semester, so stay tuned!

    After a usual talk, you might grab a tea/coffee and chat with other attendees. Why not here too? Join us for some informal discussion on Zoom after the talks, and throughout the week on our Discord channel.
