Dear INFORMS colleagues,
Voting for the 2019 INFORMS Election has been open for three weeks, and I am grateful for all the responses I received to my first message regarding the needs of the next generation of INFORMS members.
Another example where we should accelerate the implementation of the INFORMS Strategy, is intensifying partnerships between academia and industry. To help lead organizations through their analytics journeys, we need to embrace the whole analytics ecosystem with support from our university researchers and industry practitioners. For INFORMS and our membership, this will lead to an increased demand for our research, our programs, our publications, our profession, and our people.
It is time to include more constituents of the end-to-end analytics process, and further diversify and grow our membership. If elected, I will take the diverse needs of all constituents into account and help accelerate and amplify the activities of two INFORMS committees-the Committee on Industry-Academia Collaborations and the Industry Outreach and Engagement Committee.
