    The Department of Supply Chain Management and Analytics within the College of Business at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level. This position will have an August 2019 start date. We seek outstanding candidates in all areas of business analytics, supply chain management, operations management and management information systems. This will be an academic year (nine month) appointment. Salary, benefits, and research support are competitive and consistent with other Big Ten universities. Attainment of tenure within the College of Business will require publications in top-level journals. Tenure review is conducted during the sixth year, with a three year review to provide early feedback.

    Applicants must have a doctorate in supply chain management, operations management, business analytics, operations research, industrial engineering or a related field (such as econometrics, statistics or computer science), or will have completed all of the requirements for the Ph.D. at the time of appointment. Applicants must demonstrate the potential to publish quality research in refereed journals, as well as the ability to teach college-level courses in business analytics, supply chain management or operations management. The ability and desire to teach graduate level courses, including in an online environment, is preferred. Work experience in supply chain management or business analytics and publications in top-tier refereed journals are also preferred.

    About the Department of Supply Chain Management and Analytics

    The Department of Supply Chain Management and Analytics consists of 11 tenured and tenure-track faculty, along with one professor of practice and one full-time lecturer. The department is responsible for teaching the College of Business core courses in Operations and Supply Chain Management and Business Analytics/Information Analysis. The department offers an undergraduate major in supply chain management, as well as a minor in business analytics. At the graduate level, the department teaches courses in the MBA program, and offers certificates in supply chain management and business analytics, as well as an MS in Business Analytics.
