INFORMS Journal on Data Science, is now open for submissions!
INFORMS Journal on Data Science (IJDS) is a peer-reviewed journal aiming to publish top innovative and potentially impactful data science methodologies contributing to decision making in business, management, and industry. By curating and publishing state-of-the-art generalizable knowledge, IJDS aims to provide a dedicated focal point for important data science research in socio-technical aspects of business, engineering, management, and industry, to benefit the scientific community, industry, and society at large.
Writes inaugural editor-in-chief Galit Shmueli:
"I am delighted to share the news about opening the doors of the new INFORMS Journal of Data Science (IJDS) for submissions. The birth of the Journal has been anticipated and greatly facilitated by several INFORMS communities, with joint efforts by many community members leading from its inception towards this exciting moment.
"IJDS will publish important methodological data science contributions to management and engineering research and applications. This includes novel methodology, or the use of existing methodology in a completely new way, or when applied to a completely new type of problem ("methodological discovery").
"With an emphasis on decision making, IJDS will be an open-minded and inclusive outlet fitting the cross-disciplinary nature of data science. Authors and readers will have backgrounds spanning a range of areas such as statistics, machine learning, operations research, engineering, econometrics, and other computational disciplines. Given this audience, IJDS strives to create an outlet that is aligned with data science authors' and readers' expectations in terms of focus, style, and language."
