The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) seeks candidates for two tenure-track positions to begin August 17, 2020. One position is for an Assistant Professor in Statistics and Data Science and the other position is for an Assistant Professor of Mathematical Statistics.
Statistics, data science, and operations research make up the rapidly-growing Data and Decision Sciences (DDS) program within the Department of Mathematics. Faculty enjoy interdisciplinary collaborations with colleagues across UNO and the University of Nebraska system. Mathematics students can choose a concentration in any of these three areas at both the undergraduate and master's levels. The successful candidate will work closely with faculty and students in the DDS group, teach undergraduate and graduate courses in mathematics, statistics, and data science, supervise graduate students, collaborate with local industry, and maintain an active research program.
