    The Alberta School of Business, University of Alberta, invites applications for a full-time tenured or tenure-track faculty position in Business Analytics. The anticipated start date is July 1, 2021.

    Candidates will have graduated from an accredited PhD program in a relevant area, such as Operations Management, Management Science, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Information Systems, Computer Science, or Statistics. Candidates who are close to PhD completion may be considered; however, the appointment will be contingent upon the completion of the PhD by an agreed-upon date. Candidates will possess an excellent research record or have the potential to publish in top business journals (including Management Science, Operations Research, Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, Production and Operations Management, Information Systems Research, and MIS Quarterly), have an alignment with the current research competencies of the department (mathematical modeling or empirical), and have shown evidence of or demonstrated potential for teaching excellence. Candidates will have a proven track record of (or demonstrated interest in) institution building and service in addition to exceptional scholarship in Business Analytics. Proficiency in English is required.

    Responsibilities of the position include teaching Business Analytics courses in undergraduate and graduate programs, conducting and publishing research in top-tier business journals, and service to the School's academic activities. The Alberta School of Business has an energetic PhD program and the successful candidate will be expected to play an active role in its continuing success and development.
