The Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) is now accepting applications for post-doctoral research fellow positions in air transportation. Successful candidates will join an active group of Principal Investigators to work within the Aviation Studies Institute of SUTD. The post-doctoral researchers will be working on developing models for evaluating the impact of policy prescriptions in airport systems and air-traffic management (ATM).

The candidates need to have a PhD or to be close to completing a PhD in operations research, industrial engineering, computer science, operations management, or a related discipline. Familiarity with programming is essential. Knowledge in aviation systems is an added advantage.

The successful candidates are expected to publish papers in top-level journals and conferences along with other faculty and students. They will receive regular mentorship and training. They will be encouraged to disseminate research findings in major conferences and to seek research funding.

With SUTD located next to the one of the best airports in the world and a stimulating aviation ecosystem, there will be plenty of opportunities to work closely with industry experts to tackle critical challenges in ATM modernization and efficient airspace operations.

Interested candidates should forward their CV along with the names of two references and a writing sample (journal paper, conference paper, or thesis chapter) to Nuno Ribeiro (nuno_ribeiro@sutd.edu.sg). Review of applications will begin immediately, and the positions will remain open until filled. The positions are for one year and can be extended to two or more years based on performance and funding availability. The positions come with competitive salary commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience.
