Naval Research Logistics is a premier peer-reviewed journal in operations research, applied statistics, and general quantitative modeling. Founded in 1954, NRL has a distinguished history of publication of both seminal methodological contributions and innovative applications. For decades, NRL has been a broad-based journal devoted to operations and analysis problems in business, industry, and government.
In this special issue, we aim to bring together state-of-the-art research on the design, planning, and real-time management of online and omnichannel retailing. The special issue is open to a broad range of research methodologies including normative and empirical work. Moreover, we encourage work that highlights the application of OR/MS and Analytics in practice. Example topics include but are not limited to:
Forecasting
Pricing and revenue management
Assortment planning
Network design
Inventory management
Fulfillment planning
Warehouse operations
Last-mile delivery
Quality, safety, and return management
Cross-border management
Integration of online and offline channels
