Multiple Faculty Positions in Business Analytics
The Wisconsin School of Business seeks full-time, nine-month, tenure track appointments to begin August 23, 2021, or later. The positions can be at the assistant, associate, or full professor level. The position would be responsible for teaching graduate and undergraduate students in Business Analytics and related fields at the Wisconsin School of Business, conducting scholarly research and performing service. The position will ultimately reside in a single academic department (https://wsb.wisc.edu/faculty-research/academic-departments) based on the candidate's research program.
Business Analytics has a presence across all programs at the Wisconsin School of Business, including a Graduate Certificate in Business Analytics and an M.S. in Business Analytics. The School has prioritized this area and is working closely with industry to enhance the analytics content offered throughout the school. The University of Wisconsin-Madison has more generally promoted this field by creating a Data Science Institute, and by combining separate departments into a new School of Computer, Data and Information Sciences. The Wisconsin School of Business currently enrolls about 2,600 Undergraduate students, 450 Postgraduate students, and about 50 Doctoral students.
For applicants with primary interest in the Operations and Information Management department, a Ph.D. in Information Systems, Operations, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or related fields, with research interests in Business Analytics, is required by August 23, 2021.
