    To the INFORMS Community:

    We are in this together! The health and welfare of the entire INFORMS community is our top priority. And, this includes our staff. With that in mind, we are joining you in social distancing and remote operations beginning immediately.

    We have been methodically planning and implementing the technologies, policies, systems, and training necessary to help us deliver seamless continuity – changing how we work without changing the responsiveness and integrity of our operations, and without impacting the greater INFORMS community.  

    None of us know how long this will be necessary. But regardless of how long our new virtual headquarters will be operating, we are all committed to achieving our goal that you will experience the same high-quality customer service and staff engagement as always. 

    Should you need to get in touch with either our customer service department or any member of the staff please call or email us the same way you always do. Our recent digital transformation ensures that our critical workflows and collaborations as a staff and with our members will readily continue in connected and engaged virtual teams.

    If you have not done so already, I encourage you to log into our new member management system and update your profile. If you can't find the email you received earlier this week with instructions, simply call or email customer service as you normally would.

    And, to lessen the impact of social distancing, now is a great time to start conversations in INFORMS Connect. We will be joining you by asking questions and sharing relevant updates about our programs, operations and other important (and maybe just fun) matters.

    Finally, to all our members, volunteers and, most especially, the INFORMS staff, thank you for adapting and adjusting so well that our business, programs, and committees continue to run smoothly, even while you have been tending to your own personal and family issues.

    We send our wishes that all remain healthy and safe in the days and weeks ahead.
