Due to multiple requests, the deadline to apply for the prestigious 2020 Innovative Applications in Analytics Award (IAAA), brought to you by the Analytics Society of INFORMS, Kinaxis and Adelphi University, has been extended to Friday, November 22, 2019. IAAA provides an excellent way to receive recognition within and outside of your organization for your analytics success stories. Here are the key points for the 2020 competition:
- The award recognizes organizations for applications which combine multiple types of analytics-descriptive, predictive or prescriptive-in novel ways to achieve meaningful results.
- Initial submission, a 500 - 1,000 words summary of your work, is due by November 22. Submit your summary by email to award cochair Juan Jaramillo (jjaramillo@adelphi.edu).
- Up to six finalists, selected by December 20, will each be asked to prepare a deck to be presented on April 28, 2020 during the INFORMS Business Analytics and Operations Research Conference in Denver, Colorado, when winners will be selected and named.
- Prize money for the top three teams is $3,000, $2,000 and $1,000.
- Applications that currently are being considered in parallel for other INFORMS prizes will not be considered.
