    Dear Colleagues and Friends,

    INFORMS 2019 Annual Conference will be held in Seattle next week. This year the QSR cluster is sponsoring a variety of special and invited sessions. Here is a summary and some highlights:

    1. The QSR Section is sponsoring 56 amazing sessions in the INFORMS Annual Meeting 2019, which makes us one of the most active sections in the INFORMS. These sessions include one QSR refereed session (best paper competition), two QSR student sessions (best student paper competition and student interaction/poster competition), four journal sponsored sessions (IISE Transactions, Technometrics, JQT, and IEEE-TASE), several panel discussion sessions, one tutorial session on Gaussian process, and six joint sessions with Data Mining, Healthcare Application System and Energy clusters. The QSR sessions will cover a broad spectrum of topics including smart and connected systems, machine learning, high dimensional data analysis, spatial-temporal data analysis, and quality and reliability engineering.
    2. The QSR Business Meeting will be held on Monday, October 21 from 6:30pm to 8:00pm in CC – 4C-2, Level 4 of the Washington State Convention Center.
