    INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING & MANAGEMENT SCIENCES
    NORTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY

     

    We invite applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty appointment at the assistant to associate professor level to begin September 2020.  The search is broad, encompassing all methodology and application areas of industrial engineering, operations research and management science, including computational social science, healthcare analytics, machine learning, service operations, simulation, and the sharing economy. Applicants should hold an earned Ph.D. or be near completion of their doctoral studies with demonstrated research potential in industrial engineering, operations research or management science.  A commitment to rigorous and relevant research is essential.

    The hire will have opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration via broad University research initiatives and centers including Optimization and Statistical Learning (www.osl.northwestern.edu), Engineering and Healthcare (www.ceh.northwestern.edu), Complex Systems (www.nico.northwestern.edu), and Transportation and Logistics (www.transportation.northwestern.edu).

    The Department of Industrial Engineering & Management Sciences offers an undergraduate program, a Ph.D. program, a full-time master's degree in analytics and a part-time master's degree in engineering management. Both the undergraduate and graduate programs are consistently ranked among the top ten by US News & World Report.
